'Owed to a Certain Emptiness: Infra-Structuring the Conflictorium' in collaboration with Vera List Center was exhibited at the Sheila C Johnson Design Center in New York.
on how this exhibition is an attempt at articulating infrastructural thinking, Avni Sethi says, "...in this exhibition, find a meditation on what has been learnt lovingly, painstakingly from a decade of a practice focused on nurturing infrastructures, critiquing them and being fatigued by their assumptions of perenniality."
To further contextualize and activate this articulation, Avni was in conversation with twelve different art and culture practitioners for the duration of the exhibition: Manan Ahmed, Kemi Ilesanmi, Emily Johnson, Carin Kuoni, Shaun Leonardo, Shannon Mattern, Tamara Oyalo Santiago, Eriola Pira, Robert Sember, Radhika Subramaniam, Jennifer Tipton and Hrag Vartanian.
